AI Matching Consent

Opt-in authorization for participation in AI-assisted compatibility scoring

The Ismaili Professionals Network (“IPN”) uses a proprietary matching algorithm, where we feed our algorithm to Claude for the model to be the judge, to pair participants throughout the Unmatched event weekend. As part of this process, IPN offers participants the option to enhance their compatibility score through AI-assisted analysis of free-text responses submitted during registration.

How AI Matching Works

Your four free-text responses — your bio, your lighthearted hill you’d die on, your most lovable flaw, and what you want your future partner to be passionate about — may be analyzed by an AI model (Claude Sonnet 4.6, developed by Anthropic, PBC). The AI evaluates these responses for humor, sentiment, self-awareness, and thematic alignment against potential pairings, and returns a numerical compatibility score. This score is only one input into IPN’s broader scoring matrix, and is not determinative of the final matching outcome. The scoring matrix and final matching algorithm are not generative AI-based and operate separately from the AI analysis.

Your free-text responses are transmitted to Anthropic’s API without directly identifying information; your name, email, and other registration details are not included in what is sent. However, please be aware that the content of your responses may contain information that could indirectly identify you, and you should keep this in mind when completing your responses. Your free-text responses and any compatibility scores generated from them are retained only for the duration of the event weekend and permanently deleted upon its conclusion. Anthropic, as the operator of the AI model, has its own independent data practices; participants are encouraged to review Anthropic’s privacy policy at anthropic.com.

What Is and Is Not Shared with AI

The following information is sent to the AI model for scoring:

  • Bio (free-text response)
  • Unserious hill you’d die on (free-text response)
  • Your most lovable flaw (free-text response)
  • What you want your partner to be passionate about (free-text response)

The following information is NOT sent to the AI model:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Any other personally identifiable information

Your free-text responses are transmitted to Anthropic’s API without identifying you directly for the sole purpose of generating a compatibility score. IPN does not store, learn from, or retain your responses beyond the scope of a single scoring request. IPN is not responsible for Anthropic’s independent data practices; participants are encouraged to review Anthropic’s privacy policy at anthropic.com.

Participation in AI-assisted matching is entirely voluntary. Participants who do not opt in will still be included in the event matching process using IPN’s scoring matrix based on structured registration data only. Opting in or out does not affect your eligibility to participate in the Unmatched event.

By making your selection on the application form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand how your responses will be used, and you voluntarily consent to AI-assisted analysis of your free-text responses as described above.

If You Opt In

I consent to automated processing of my free-text responses by an AI model for compatibility scoring as described above. I understand this is optional and will not affect my participation in the Unmatched event.

If You Decline

I decline AI-assisted matching. My free-text responses will not be submitted to an AI model. I understand I will still be included in IPN’s standard matching process using structured registration data only.
